Our Story
Our journey began in 1967, when Mr. Ramanlal Dayalal Shah laid the foundation of the firm as a Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) broking house. Built on trust, integrity, and a deep understanding of the markets, the firm steadily grew its presence, expanding its footprint across India with a strong network of branches and a growing institutional client base.
A defining milestone came in 1991, when Mr. R. D. Shah was elected as a Board Member of the Bombay Stock Exchange, serving with distinction until 1993. During this pivotal period, R. D. Shah Stock Brokers Private Limited was formally established in 1992, marking a new chapter of structured growth and institutional strength.
Over the decades, the firm has evolved in step with India’s dynamic financial landscape. While our roots remain firmly anchored in broking, we have continuously expanded our capabilities to meet the changing needs of our clients and the markets.

Kirti Shah entered the financial markets in 1975 and became a registered broker of the Bombay Stock Exchange in 1979. With decades of experience, he has established himself as a seasoned market veteran, carrying forward his father’s legacy while contributing to the firm’s evolution across multiple domains of India’s capital markets.
Beyond his professional achievements, he is a respected figure within the Jain community, leading several prominent institutions. He also serves as the Chairman of a charitable hospital in Mehsana district, Gujarat, reflecting his strong commitment to social responsibility and community development.

Ketan Shah, a third-generation member of the family, joined the firm in 1999 and has been instrumental in its expansion into new domains, clientele segments, and institutional partnerships. His strategic vision has played a key role in broadening the firm’s reach and strengthening its market position.
He is widely regarded as a trusted advisor in the unlisted market, with deep expertise in structuring and facilitating institutional deals. His insights and relationships continue to drive value for clients and reinforce the firm’s leadership in this space.
Raj Shah

Raj Shah represents the fourth generation of the family, bringing a global perspective and modern approach to the business. He holds a Master’s degree in Investment Banking from Queen Mary University of London.
Currently, he leads the firm’s fund-raising and growth equity division, focusing on identifying high-potential opportunities and building strong partnerships. His forward-looking approach is helping shape the next phase of the firm’s growth.
